Soil
Only in places where the soil is frequently waterlogged. Kohila is a suitable crop for wetlands. Therefore, it is advisable to have shade for this crop. When there is no shade, the leaves are small.

පස
වගා කළ හැක්කේ නිතර ජලය රඳා පවතින ස්ථානවල පමණි. කොහිල වගුරු බිම් වලට යෝග්ය බෝගයක් වේ. මේ නිසා මෙම වගාව සඳහා සෙවණ තිබීම යෝග්ය වේ. සෙවණ නොමැති වූ විට පත්ර කුඩාවේ.

மண்
அடிக்கடி நீர் தேங்கும் மண் உள்ள இடங்களில் மாத்திரம். ஈர நிலங்களுக்கு கொகிலை ஒரு பொருத்தமான பயிர். ஆகையால், பயிருக்கு நிழல் வழங்க பரிந்துரைக்கப்படுகிறது. நிழல் இல்லாத போது இலைகள் குறுகும்.
