Soil
Well-draining sandy loam soil is ideal. Soil pH around 5.6 -7 is optimal. Heavy clay soils with poor drainage is not good for cultivation

වැලි ලෝම් පස් වගාව සඳහා වඩා සුදුසුය. පසෙහි පී.එච්. අගය 5.6-7 අතර වීම වගාවට යෝග්ය වේ. ජල වහනය දුර්වල මැටි අධික පස වගාවට සුදුසු නැත

மண்
நல்ல நீர்வடிப்புள்ள மணல் இருவாட்டி மண் சிறந்தது. பொருத்தமான மண் பி.எச். 5.6 – 7 அதிக களி மண்ணுடனான நீர்வடிப்பு குறைந்தவை செய்கைக்கு பொருத்தாது.
