Planting material
Mainly propagated by seeds. Seeds are formed in well matured plants. Once the seeds are mature, the seeds can be removed from the plant and separated. The crop can also be propagated by stems in home gardening.

රෝපණ ද්රව්ය
ප්රධාන වශයෙන් සාරණ බීජ මඟින් ප්රචාරණය කරනු ලැබේ. ශාක මේරීමට හැරීමෙන් බීජ හට ගනී. බීජ මේරූ පසු ශාකය පිටින් ගලවා බීජ වෙන් කර ගත හැකිය. ගෙවතු වගාවේදී දඬු මඟින් ද ප්රචාරණය කළ හැකි වේ.

நடுகை பொருள்
பெரும்பாலும் விதை மூலமான இனப்பெருக்கம். விதைகள் நல்ல முதிர்ந்த தாவரத்தில் உருவாகும். ஒரு தடவை விதை முதிர்ந்ததும், விதைகள் தாவரத்தில் இருந்து அகற்றப்பட்டு பிரித்தெடுக்கப்படும். வீட்டுத்தோட்டத்தில் பயிரானது தண்டு மூலமும் பெருக்கம் செய்யப்படும்.
